1.12.0 (build 16) – 8 Ekim 2026
Düzeltilenler
- The introduction's page dots sit in the middle of the screen in every language: a long "Set Up Lock" label pushed them aside, and on the last page they stood off-centre.
- On small phones (iPhone SE and the like), the welcome page's "Get Started" button is on screen without scrolling, and the introduction's texts, the feature labels and every choice of the lock page, down to "Skip for Now", are no longer cut off at the bottom or under the logo: the pictures get smaller instead, and the features page leaves its picture out when the labels need two rows.
- The lock page's picture keeps clear of the logo above it.
- On iPad, the soft circles behind the introduction and the lock screen are drawn whole instead of being cut straight at the sides of the app's column.
1.12.0 – 7 Ekim 2026
Eklenenler
- KutunaCo is now also in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi. It follows the device language: the first of the device's languages KutunaCo has, English otherwise. The language can be changed in Settings › General › Language, where each language is listed under its own name; Android 13 and later also list them in the system's per-app language screen. Dates, times, amounts and numbers are written the way each language writes them, and until a default currency is picked, new subscriptions start in euros in German and Italian. Items an import made in one language are recognised when the same export is imported again in another, also where the two write a date differently (03/04/2026 is 4 March in English and 3 April in Spanish); where a note does not show which language wrote such a date, or its labels are shared by several languages (a note with only a "URL" line), the item is imported again as a copy rather than skipped.
Değişenler
- The "Add Item" sheet's Subscription row has an illustration like the other rows (a cat at the gym) instead of a plain calendar icon.
- Delete All Data takes its confirmation word with or without accents ("LOSCHEN" for "LÖSCHEN"). In Japanese, Korean and Hindi, whose words need another keyboard, "DELETE" is accepted too and the dialog says so, so a phone with only a Latin keyboard can still confirm, also on the lock screen after a forgotten PIN.
Düzeltilenler
- Alphabetical order puts Korean titles in dictionary order (titles from 나 on used to come before those starting with 가), and Japanese and Hindi titles in the order of their scripts, after the Latin ones.
- Search finds titles typed with full-width letters (a Japanese keyboard's "NETFLIX" finds "Netflix"), and Hindi words written with or without a nukta or with either nasal sign.
1.10.0 – 5 Ekim 2026
Güvenlik
- An export that finishes while KutunaCo is in the background or locked opens its share sheet only once you are back in the unlocked app: it no longer comes up on its own, never above the lock screen, and no longer holds off auto-lock while you are away. "Delete All Data" from the lock screen ends such a waiting export without writing or sharing the deleted box.
Eklenenler
- The 2FA Codes screen has a "Scan 2FA QR Code" button in its top bar, so a new code can be added while codes are listed.
Düzeltilenler
- Copying a 2FA code from an item's page copies the code of that moment and says how long it stays valid when it is about to expire, like the 2FA Codes screen.
- Importing a backup with "Overwrite" or "Keep the newer one" no longer loses what the replaced item held (2FA key, notes, card fields): its previous version goes to the trash as "<title> (previous version)" for 30 days, and the import message says how many. Importing a preserved box copy does the same.
- On Android without Google Play services, the QR scanner no longer suggests choosing a screenshot (the same reader would have to read it) and points to typing or pasting the setup key instead.
- The store rating prompt no longer appears right after an unencrypted export, while its security warning is on screen.
- On an iPhone with Face ID, the lock screen shows a face and "Unlock with Face ID" instead of a fingerprint (Touch ID iPhones say "Unlock with Touch ID"); Settings shows the same symbol.
- A search that finds nothing in the selected filter (e.g. Favorites) says so, tells how many items match elsewhere in your box and offers "Search All", instead of looking as if the item were gone.
- Passwords from the app's own generator no longer rate "Weak" by chance when they happen to contain a short run like "098"; passwords built from patterns still do.
Değişenler
- 2FA has a symbol of its own (a timer) on item cards, the way to the 2FA Codes screen, the copy action and the help center; the lock clock now stands only for Auto-Lock.
- Settings › About › Send Feedback opens a draft to support@kutuna.co, the address the privacy policy now gives for questions.
- Clearer Turkish texts: the rating sheet's button ("Mağaza Sayfasını Aç", like "Open Store Page"), the Delete All Data confirmation ("Tüm Veriler Silinsin mi?"), the introduction's lock page ("Kutunuzu Koruyun"), and the wording of the add menu, the help center, the shared-file import sheet, the import preview, the PIN reset setting, the copy message and the expiring 2FA code's label (seconds spelled out) and the e-mail field's example.
- Clearer English texts: the shared-file import sheet, the import preview's note when the box's size can't be measured, the introduction's privacy page and two error messages; the time of a preserved box copy is written month/day/year.
- Privacy policy: on Android, Google Play services, which provides the QR code reader, may send Google anonymous diagnostics about using the reader (kind of event, duration, error code, device and app details); the image, the QR code's content and your items are never part of them. The policy had said the reader's statistics were off; only the library's own upload is.
- When the camera cannot start, the QR scanner suggests choosing a screenshot on Android too: only the camera failed, the reader still reads images.
1.9.0 – 4 Ekim 2026
Değişenler
- The vault is now called "box" ("Kutu" in Turkish) everywhere in the app: screens, messages, Settings › Box, Preserved Box Copies, the Face ID prompt, the iOS AutoFill extension and the privacy policy.
1.8.0 (build 12) – 3 Ekim 2026
Değişenler
- Settings › About › Privacy: "Full Privacy Policy" opens the policy on kutuna.co in the browser, in the app's language, like "Full Terms" does; a note under it says this needs an internet connection. The full text is no longer bundled in the app; the privacy and terms summaries stay in the app and read offline.
1.8.0 – 3 Ekim 2026
Güvenlik
- The app lock is checked against a record in secure storage and is never dropped at startup; a missing PIN keeps its lock and reset preference, and a fresh install can no longer be faked.
- With a PIN-only lock, turning on biometric unlock first asks for the PIN.
- The lock screen shows none of the app's messages (item titles, "Undo"), and iOS save requests and Android app-link suggestions wait until the app is unlocked.
- The Android app lock accepts only strong (Class 3) biometrics or the device credential.
- Android autofill: browsers are recognised by their release certificates only, the PIN lockout also counts time since boot, only the password being filled is decrypted, and autofill fails closed when the app PIN step cannot be synced.
- iOS autofill: with a PIN-only lock whose device-lock reset is off, no password is written to the AutoFill copy; web addresses with international characters are matched on iOS 15/16 without ever moving to another site.
- The backup password strength check treats the app's name (KutunaCo) and the support address like other common words.
- New encrypted backups use stronger Argon2id settings (64 MiB of memory, 3 passes, 4 lanes; RFC 9106's second recommendation) instead of 19 MiB, 2 passes and 1 lane. Older backups still open, and every version since 1.5.0 can restore the new ones.
Eklenenler
- 2FA codes from QR codes: "Scan 2FA QR Code" in the add menu, or the scan button of an item's 2FA field, reads a service's setup QR code with the camera or from a screenshot.
otpauth://links open KutunaCo too (on iOS it can be chosen under "Set Up Codes In"): the link is shown first (service and account, never the key) and saved only after you confirm, as a new item or on an existing login. - Google Authenticator's export QR codes can be scanned one after another; their codes go through the import preview like an export file.
- A 2FA Codes screen lists every 2FA code with its countdown and the next code: a tap copies a code, codes can be searched and pinned to the top, and "Hide codes until tapped" keeps them out of sight. The item list has a "2FA" filter, and item cards show a 2FA badge.
- Subscription-only items: the add menu's "Subscription" row makes an item that tracks a fee without needing a password, card number, key or note; such items are left out of Password Health and autofill.
- Language choice: Settings › General › Language (System, English, Türkçe); the native Android and iOS screens follow it. The whole app is available in English: "System" shows it in Turkish on a Turkish device and in English everywhere else.
- Dates, times, amounts, numbers and file sizes are written the way the app's language writes them (
$9.99andSep 24, 2026in English,9,99 $and24 Eyl 2026in Turkish); dates an import writes into notes too. Until a default currency is picked, new subscriptions start in Turkish lira in Turkish and in US dollars in English. - kutuna.co help and privacy pages, the home-screen shortcut and the system unlock prompt follow the app's language; the shortcut is renamed as soon as the language changes.
- Android: an option to hide user names in autofill suggestions.
- iOS: KutunaCo is the owner of its
.bbxbackup type, so those files open in KutunaCo. - Backup reminders: Settings › Data Management shows when the last encrypted backup was made, and the vault page reminds you when there is none or it is 30 days old (dismissing it waits two weeks).
- When a vault's key is gone (a new phone set up from the old one's own backup), the recovery screen offers "Restore from a Backup File" first and links to the help article; the introduction says that only a backup file moves the vault to a new phone, and the empty vault offers "Restore Backup or Import".
Değişenler
- Backup files are named
kutunaco_backup_…; the olderboxbox_…names are still recognised. - The rating sheet asks neutrally, no longer links to feedback, and appears only after a minimum time since installation.
- Texts no longer assume biometrics when the PIN is the only lock, drop the "BBX2" jargon, and quote menu paths as they appear in the app.
- The backup, restore and import screens are available in English. What an import writes into items (note labels such as "Extra fields", the title of an unnamed entry, the archive tag, the "(imported)" mark of a copy) uses the app's language at the time of the import; entries imported earlier in Turkish are still recognised when the same export is imported again.
- The privacy policy's Stored Data section also names what the backup reminder keeps on the device (when the last encrypted backup was made and when the reminder was last closed) and whether the app has passed its language to the system.
- New permission: camera access, used only to scan 2FA QR codes. The image is read on the device and is neither saved nor sent anywhere; a screenshot chosen instead is read the same way, and the app's temporary copy of it is deleted afterwards. On Android the QR reader comes with Google Play services; the reader library's own statistics upload is switched off, and KutunaCo still has no internet permission (Google Play services itself may send Google anonymous diagnostics about the reader; the privacy policy says so since 1.10.0). The privacy policy describes camera access in a section of its own.
- An import from another app takes at most 25,000 items (was 50,000), so an import alone never grows past what one encrypted backup holds.
Düzeltilenler
- The App Store rating link uses the app's real App Store id.
- A ZIP archive whose exports together hold too many items says so, rather than giving the message meant for a single file.
- Turning autofill on follows what the system actually did (iOS).
- Android: damaged autofill entries are cleared instead of breaking autofill; copying a shared file has an overall time limit.
- iOS: the QuickType bar is refilled after the provider is turned back on; the screen-capture message is readable in dark mode.
